Skin Tight
Another entertaining mystery. A quick read. A day would be long enough, but it's fun to take a few days with it. Carl Hiaasen has written several books in this same genre. Another one of his that I've read is Skinny Dip. Both stories take place in south Florida and deal with a male, former policeman or investigator, who lives in some remote spot, who is content to deal with the simple life of little responsibility, taking care only of himself and his pets. then, he is thrust back into the turmoil of the world by the appearance of an intelligent, attractive female who needs his help. In the end he takes care of everything and goes off into the sunset one way or the other. The books are entertaining and humorous. Both end in a flurry of activity that involves some very bizarre events and characters. What makes them different from each other? Why do they have different titles? Do I need to give more details? I don't think so. Read it.
