The third in Asa Larsson”s trilogy of mysteries set in northern Sweden. This keeps the same set of characters, those not murdered, as the first two. It has a special emphasis on the mental health of Rebecka and likewise delves into the feelings of several of the characters. A very enjoyable read taking you with the characters to reach resolution.

Death By Audio had its last show on November 22.Leading up to and soon following that date a number of articles were published regarding the passing of a diy venue, having succumbed to gentrification. the pieces listed here are from The Village Voice, The New York Observer, Brooklyn Vegan, StereoGum, and The New York Times.
The average age of those listed in the twelve obituaries in the November 18, 2014 Free Lance-Star was 70.75. The median was 79.5 with a sample standard deviation of 27.8. The ages ranged from 7 to 102.
This is the thirteenth day I’ve been collecting this data.
The mean of  obituary average ages using {77.375,64,74.143, 62.5, 55,66.8333, 74.11,71.27,68.82, 76.92,63,76.71,70.75} at Wolfram alpha is 69.34, up .11 from the previous computations.
Some words in the obituaries that caught my attention:
We’ve visited our sons in Brooklyn many times. The Spring of 2013 was the first time that we rented an apartment through Airbnb. The apartment was a little rough – some of the floor boards were loose or missing and the bathroom was very tiny – but it was clean and turned out to be conveniently located, not far from the Barclay’s Center. It was also less than two blocks form Bergen Bagel! A very excellent bagel place. We’ve been to NY several times since then and always try to stop in one of the locations of Bergen Bagel. We went back to this shop about a month ago. The bagels were just as good, but the neon signs are gone.
