Hibiscus in the front garden at 8 AM. I took these pics this morning before it got too hot. The plant has bloomed for several years and puts out very large flowers. The bugs always get to them very early; maybe before they bloom.  They’re really nice.

After going to Earl’s Hardware in Chatham Heights, I was struck with the appearance of two abandoned buildings across the road. Most likely these haven’t been occupied for several years and are part of someone’s plan for tearing down and rebuilding when the the real estate slump improves.

Looking at some fruit on our table made me want to photograph them. After several shots it seemd that up close worked best, although I must admit I get a little squeamish looking at the close up of the pear. Click on the image and let me know if it affects you the same way.
